BASIC SCAFFOLDING/ Twentyone (21) days

Objective:

The objective of the Basic Scaffolding Training course is to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle basic scaffolding structures in accordance with industry standards and health and safety regulations. This course is designed to build core competencies in scaffold component identification, hazard awareness, risk control, and the correct use of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a basic scaffolder.

  • Identify different types of scaffolding materials and components.

  • Interpret basic scaffold drawings and plans.

  • Erect and dismantle simple tube-and-fitting or modular scaffolds under supervision.

  • Apply proper manual handling techniques when working with scaffold materials.

  • Demonstrate awareness of site safety, including fall prevention and control measures.

  • Conduct pre-use checks and report defects or hazards appropriately.

This training serves as an essential foundation for individuals entering the scaffolding trade and provides a pathway towards more advanced qualifications such as CISRS Scaffolder Part 1 or equivalent.
